POSITION DESCRIPTION:
• Send negotiations requests for quotations to shipping agencies, clearing agencies
• Check fiscal prices, customs requirements, and clearing fees.
• Study cost estimation to get the optimal and most efficient shipping, transport and clearing method
• Track shipments and follow up with the forwarder regarding vessels’ arrival dates at destination
• Send clear instructions to the shipper regarding the clearing documentation as per country requirements with the consultation of purchasing officer
• Follow up closely on the customs / clearance formalities and delivery process.
• Update the shipment clearance log on progress and communicate delays daily.
Education and Experiences:
• Degree/Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Clearance and Forwarding.
• Maximum Experience of Five (5) Years in customs operations
• Must be fluent both in English and Swahili
• Flexible and ability to work under minimum Supervision

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Consult with managers and other personnel to resolve problems in areas such as equipment performance, output quality, and work schedules.
Coordinate activities with other supervisory personnel, and with other work units or departments.
Develop work schedules according to budgets and workloads.
Discuss job performance problems with employees in order to identify causes and issues, and to work on resolving problems.
Implement corporate and departmental policies, procedures, and service standards in conjunction with management.
Interpret and communicate work procedures and company policies to staff.
Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures; preparing payroll; controlling correspondence; designing filing systems; reviewing and approving supply requisitions; assigning and monitoring clerical functions.
Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement.
Designs and implements office policies by establishing standards and procedures; measuring results against standards; making necessary adjustments.
Keeps management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports; summarizing information; identifying trends.
Establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
